Hildegard House is a grade II listed building situated on Skinner St. Flat 1 is a 1st floor apartment and provides accommodation for 4 adults in 2 double rooms and up to 2 small children on ‘a put me up’ and a sofa bed. The apartment is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty with stairs.
Keys, Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Details of the arrangements for picking up the keys will be forwarded with the booking confirmation. Because of the one way system in Skinner St, Hildegard House is best accessed from the West Cliff area. There is restricted parking outside Hildegard House (60 mins max between 0900 – 1800hrs) when it is possible to offload luggage. The parking restrictions do not apply to Disabled Badge holders. Unrestricted free on road parking is available about 300m from Hildegard House towards the West Cliff. Permits supplied).
The Main Entrance
From Skinner St, turn into the narrow Clarkson St then immediately on the left is a white door with the name of the apartment. Through the door is a courtyard with the entrance to the stairs on the left. An automatic security light illuminates the yard during hours of darkness. Ascend 2 steps and enter the lower lobby. There are 20 steps up to the 1st floor landing and apartment door. Access to the apartment is via a 0.72m self closing fire door and all internal doors are 0.72m in width.
